INT 314: Life Journeys
Unveiling the Artifacts of Ourselves
Have you ever taken a minute to reflect on your life journey or how your identity has been cultivated by both yourself and your surroundings?
Identity is a reflection of who we are, were, and where we will be throughout life. One’s identity is shaped throughout life, molded through
their individual life experiences and perspective on the world.

All of our life journeys may be different: some artifacts from earlier years
of one’s life and some from recent years all provide insight into identity
in the same respect. Anything we come in contact with has the potential
to make an impact on our identity and perspective. This may include people we meet, our culture, race, gender, family, media, or anything else we may interact with along our path through life
This exhibit brings together
each of our individual identities
and displays our identity
as a collective.
In this course, we have all read many books, essays, and pieces that relate to identity in many different forms. By reading and reflecting on these we have had the chance to do some introspection on our own life journeys.
This exhibition is filled with items that express the author's identities or remember a time in their life when they recognized their identity.
This course has provided our class with the tools needed to step back
and analyze our personal life journeys. Each artifact is specific to where
a person has been and what they have gone through in their lives
