INT 314: Life Journeys
Unveiling the Artifacts of Ourselves
Exploring the objects that contributed to our identities
Finding one's identity is an exciting journey that is frequently entwined
with significant objects. These sentimental artifacts reflect each person's
unique experiences, values, and narratives.
Every object featured here, ranging from childhood toys to symbols of adulthood, becomes a material representation of the owner. By reflecting on the artifacts
that hold significance for us, we can uncover parts of our identity and how they contributed to them. Through this exhibition, our individual artifacts come together to create the story of a collective.
This was created by students in Prof. Ramya Swayamprakash's INT 314 course at Grand Valley State University in Fall 2023, in collaboration with the Kutsche Office of Local History.
